That's right. If it weren't for Bel Biv Devoe, and Michael Bivens specifically, we might not have had the Boyz II Men music we've come to love. Only three of the four members are working together currently but, their 1991 Cooleyhighharmony is one of the reasons people say R&B isn't around anymore. It is, of course, but that's another story for another day. The reason for that train of thought, though, is that these four young men were so talented at what they did. No, there were no crazy outfits or tattoos to draw a listener in. They simply had to be really, really good at singing. This carefully crafted LP shows their giftedness in range and ability to connect with listeners while also being able to capitalize on the New Jack Swing era for commercial appeal.
